🛋️ Snug

Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 4, 2026 · Last updated: July 4, 2026

The short version: Snug helps you redesign rooms with AI. Your photos are sent to our AI provider only to generate a restyled image, your saved redesigns live on your own device, and we don’t run ads, sell your data, or use third‑party analytics or tracking.

1.Who we are

Snug (“Snug,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a mobile application that uses artificial intelligence to reimagine and restyle photos of interior spaces. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles when you use it, why, and the choices you have. By using Snug, you agree to the practices described here.

2.Information we collect

Snug is designed to collect as little as possible. We do not require you to create an account, and we do not ask for your name, email address, or phone number to use the app.

a. Photos and images you provide

When you take or choose a photo of a room, that image is used to generate a redesigned version. To do this, the photo is sent to our AI provider for processing (see Section 4). The original photo and the AI‑generated result — together with basic details you choose, such as the design style and an optional room label — are saved as a “project” on your device.

b. Camera and photo library access

With your permission, Snug uses your device’s camera to capture a room photo and can save finished redesigns to your photo library. These permissions are requested by iOS and can be changed at any time in your device Settings. We only access the specific photos you select or capture.

c. Purchase and subscription information

If you buy a subscription or unlock premium features, the transaction is handled by Apple and managed through our payments partner RevenueCat. We never see or store your full payment card details. We receive purchase status (for example, whether a subscription is active) and an anonymous purchase identifier so premium features can be unlocked and restored across your devices.

d. Technical information

Like most apps, standard technical information (such as app version, device type, operating‑system version, and error diagnostics) may be processed by Apple and our service providers to keep the app running and to fix crashes. We do not use third‑party advertising or analytics SDKs, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

3.How we use information

4.AI processing & your photos

Snug’s core feature relies on a third‑party AI model. When you request a redesign, your room photo and a text instruction describing the chosen style are transmitted securely to Google’s Gemini API (“Google Generative AI”), which returns a newly generated image. This transfer is necessary to provide the service you requested.

Your photos are sent to the AI provider only to generate your redesign. We do not use your photos to train our own models. Google’s handling of data submitted through its API is governed by Google’s own terms and privacy policy, linked below.

5.Third‑party services

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to make Snug work. Each processes data only as needed for its function:

RevenueCat Subscription & purchase management revenuecat.com/privacy
Apple App distribution & in‑app payments apple.com/legal/privacy

6.Storage & retention

Your redesign projects — the before/after images and their details — are stored locally on your device. We do not maintain our own cloud database of your photos or projects. They remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app. Deleting a project removes its images from your device. Data processed by our providers (such as purchase records held by Apple/RevenueCat, or transient processing by Google’s API) is retained according to each provider’s policies.

7.Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share your photos with anyone except the AI provider needed to generate your redesign. We may disclose information only when required to comply with the law, respond to valid legal process, protect the rights and safety of our users or the public, or as part of a business transfer (such as a merger or acquisition), in which case we will notify affected users.

8.Your choices & rights

9.Children’s privacy

Snug is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

10.Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections when your photos are transmitted for processing. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11.International users

Snug is available internationally. Our service providers may process and store information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers. By using the app, you understand that your information may be processed in these locations.

12.Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and material changes will be reflected here. Your continued use of Snug after an update means you accept the revised policy.
